Oren you are such a casual. How anyone who watched thinks Murray should start over Dort is beyond me. They have enough scoring in the starting lineup. The perimeter defense pairing Lu and Dillion is incredibly impactful for Canada. You’re a name brand guy. You don’t really know this game. It isn’t enjoyable listening to you. Then you downplay the win. I get having confidence in the group, but this was the toughest pool. It wasn’t a given they would be 2-0 at this point. Come on.

So on brand to start with talking about Shai. How was RJ not the best player for Canada today? Bush league. After 2 gms it’s fair to say RJ’s been Canada’s best player. I think Jordi agrees. RJ had the post game interview both games. Also, saying he’s just playing off people is just trying to not credit his play. He’s been on ball a lot, been a calming force, and is making plays for his teammates both games as well as impacting the rim. You guys either don’t understand what you see, or have a mental block when it comes to RJ. It’s so weird and frustrating listening to you guys downplay the level he’s playing on and his impact. Canada is 0-2 if there’s no RJ on this team.

If the younger generation want to understand how satisfying it was seeing Canada play and win against Greece, imagine having to wait till the 2048 Olympics as the next time Canada plays in the Olympics. That's how long loads of Canadian basketball fans have been waiting. 24 years. To wait that long and lose to Greece would have been 'difficult'. Alex, maybe you and Matt Ireland will start showing RJ the respect he’s earned. You gave Nembhard a pass. He did not play well. He was shaky throughout the game. He has to play better, and I think he will. This is new for him. You’re making excuses for Murray. If he were hurt he wouldn’t play. He doesn’t look injured at all. Perhaps not in the best game shape and a little rusty. But, he isn’t at 70% health wise. You should stop commenting by how you feel about a player, and just report accurately on their play. I thought your analysis on Nikeil and just overall was good.
